IndyGo: The Key to Occupational Health and Food Safety

Rajesh Kumar, CEO, IndyGoRajesh Kumar, CEO
In today’s global food and retail industry, companies are focused mainly on delivering quality food products. However, the finite life span of many perishable food items presents a great challenge for food suppliers and processors to keep it safe and uncontaminated. To overcome these challenges and abide by the stringent regulatory requirements for food safety, retail and food companies are investing in IoT solutions that can effectively monitor and control the temperature in the food safety environments. As companies began using different types of sensors at multiple locations for data acquisition, the cost of deployment continued to increase drastically, impacting the overall bottom-line. Set against this backdrop, Japan-based IndyGo breaks into the market with their advanced IoT enabled monitoring solutions that can accommodate a large number of sensors at a competitive cost and higher data acquisition rate.

“Our ultimate objective is to prevent the food wastage through condition monitoring of the refrigeration for storage and retail industry, and strengthen occupational safety in the manufacturing industry using connected devices,” begins Rajesh Kumar, CEO of IndyGo. For customers who are struggling with high sensor costs, size and battery life during data acquisition, IndyGo is on a mission to provide them with small packaged, cost-effective sensor modules. By integrating sensors with wireless communications, the company lowers the costs of sensor deployment and provides high data transmission rates for enterprises. To ensure prolonged battery life, IndyGo’s sensor module is powered by a coin-type battery which is supplied by a mesh network system with Bluetooth energy.
As a part of enhancement, IndyGo is also in the process of incorporating an energy-harvesting module to increase the life of their sensors module. With built-in and customizable sensors of various capabilities, IndyGo’s solutions can be used for a wide range of IoT systems.

“IndyGo’s industrial IoT solutions analyzes the current and historical data generated by the sensors and predicts equipment failure in advance,” remarks Kumar. This early detection helps in improving the productivity, efficiency and operations across various industries. In the food storage industry, the temperature and moisture data inside the refrigerator is streamed at regular time intervals through connected sensors to detect food spoilage and wastage. For the manufacturing industry, IndyGo’s IoT solutions provide the worker’s location and frequently monitor their safety through embedded sensors for preventing risky circumstances while enhancing the employee’s efficiency and productivity.

Our ultimate objective is to prevent the food wastage through condition monitoring of the refrigeration for storage and retail industry, and strengthen occupational safety in the manufacturing industry using connected devices

One of the notable features of IndyGo is their adoption of Japanese products and quality control practices in the solutions. The company’s highly skilled and diverse team combines the applications along with their expertise to deliver quality enterprise IoT solutions. “Add to that, IndyGo has the increased advantage of cost competitiveness, quality and innovative solution development as we embrace the culture, intelligence and diversity of a cross border team,” adds Kumar. The company’s expanding clientele spans over industries ranging from railways, retail, food and beverages and manufacturing with their market presently focused on the Asia Pacific region.

The future looks promising for IndyGo, as the company is working toward adding a new feature to monitor the vitals of workers along with their safety in the manufacturing industry. The company is also establishing partnerships with universities to develop solutions for preventive healthcare where they monitor individuals for early detection of any health conditions and are alerted immediately.
